Starting Conversations

We've been exploring how to embrace leadership as we walk this life journey. So today, let's look at how we actually find it within ourselves.
Intimate courage isn't always found in front of others or through a bold public conversation. Making a bold declaration doesn't mean you've got it all figured out. Honestly, phrases like "tell it like it is" or "I said what I said" can sometimes be more hype than help. They sound strong in the moment, but they're often armor—a way to protect yourself from sitting with the harder, quieter version of the truth. Here's a reminder: we already know that what is said means something. But how you say things leaves the real mark on the hearts that hear it.
And I'd push that even further — how you say things to yourself leaves a mark too. Before a single word ever reaches someone else, it's already shaped you. That's where this conversation actually starts.

"You want to be the boss? You have to pay the cost."
I heard that as a kid — on TV, in movies, in church. It's one of those lines that gets said so often it almost becomes background noise. But sit with it for a second, and it starts to ask you something.
Being a leader and being a child of God. Holding any leadership position — are you willing to give up relationships? Friends? Money? Time? Or better yet — your principles?

Are you still waiting for permission to be who you already are?
God created you and me as unique beings with an assignment, even before we could see the hills we'd have to climb. We were created for His glory — created to be intentional in what we do.
Ephesians 2:10 says: "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Being helpful Doesn’t always mean we will have happy results. This doesn’t mean the God cannot bless us where we are regardless if we put ourselves there or not.

From our first breath until our last, our lives are forever changing. Some want it, others try to run from it. Nevertheless, change happens. How someone accepts it, or doesn't, is not our business when we are walking with God.

Parenting comes with many challenges. Everyone has their unique style, and although it may not be perfect, is it perfect for that child? How do you parent when a child walks away?

Lord my God, I called to you for help,    and you healed me.
How many times have you gotten more than you expected from God and given little to nothing back in return to Him? Is God our help in the services we begged for, or our healer through the services he chose to render? When we ask for his help, are we really asking for his healing?
